Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Optional: diced vegetables (bell peppers, onions, tomatoes) and shredded cheese
Instructions:
- 1-Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and pepper, and beat them until well mixed.
- 2-Heat the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until melted.
- 3-If using vegetables, sauté them in the butter until they're tender.
- 4-Pour the beaten eggs over the vegetables in the skillet.
- 5-Allow the eggs to set slightly around the edges, then gently lift the edges with a spatula, tilting the skillet to let the uncooked egg flow underneath.
- 6-Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, sprinkle shredded cheese over half of the omelette (if desired).
- 7-Fold the other half of the omelette over the cheese and vegetables.
- 8-Cook for another minute or until the cheese is melted and the omelette is cooked to your liking.
- 9-Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
